Katie, a freelance video editor in desperate need of work, receives a high-paying offer from an anonymous employer to edit a mysterious and bizarre video. Katie, in need of money and facing eviction, eagerly accepts the gig. The video shows people being tortured and even killed on camera – it’s surely just an elaborately staged fiction. But when her first job leads to even more lucrative work and more disturbingly realistic snuff films, Katya’s life begins to fall apart. Strange figures haunt her apartment, terrible nightmares keep her awake, and a mysterious illness plagues her cat. It’s only when Katie decides to quit her job that she realizes just how cruel her anonymous employer really is, and the lengths she’ll go to to get out of the contract.
